After living in Dallas for nearly 8 years, I found myself going to the same few restaurants over and over. I would hear people mention different restaurants that I should try and then weeks later when I wanted to go, I would have forgotten.
In addition I always found myself wanting to share the experience of exploring a new eatery with good company. So I figured, that there had to be more people out there like me, who wanted to explore their city through food. I then realized, that these “hidden hot-spots” were just that….hidden. Several smaller establishments do not have large amounts of marketing dollars to get their name out there.
So I decided to start the Urban Foodie. A place where fellow food lovers could come together and mingle over a great meal as well as an affordable vehicle for smaller restaurants to advertise directly to the people who were looking for them.
